Background & Training
I hold a Master of Psycho-Spiritual Studies in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Saskatchewan. My background brings together psychotherapy, creative arts and spiritual care, shaping the integrative and experiential nature of my work.
My additional training includes EMDR, somatic and body-centred approaches, sensorimotor art therapy, bilateral drawing, sound, trauma-informed mindfulness and clinical hypnosis. These approaches inform my interest in the nervous system, creativity, regulation and embodied experience.
My previous work in spiritual care and hospice continues to shape my understanding of grief, presence, meaning and significant life transitions, and the importance of meeting difficult experiences with care and respect.
Beyond the Therapy Room
Outside of my work as a psychotherapist, I am also an artist, with a longstanding practice in painting, drawing and working with my hands. Creativity has always been a way of exploring experience, making meaning and connecting with the world around me.
I feel most at home in nature — walking through forests, swimming in fresh water, and noticing the changing rhythms and details of the seasons. I love plants, flowers and wild gardens, and the sense of aliveness they bring to everyday life.
Community is also an important part of Whole Life. Through sound baths, workshops and gatherings, I enjoy creating opportunities for people to slow down, connect, explore creativity and cultivate presence.
I am a mother of two adult daughters, and family continues to be one of the deepest sources of joy and learning in my life.
An invitation
Beginning therapy is a meaningful step. It is an investment in your wellbeing and a commitment to yourself. My role is to offer a safe, grounded, and collaborative space where your experiences are respected and your goals are held with care. Whether you are seeking support for trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, or relationship challenges, therapy provides an opportunity to pause, reflect, and move toward change.
If you are considering therapy, I would be glad to meet with you.
Together we can explore whether my approach is a good fit and how we might work toward the growth, steadiness, and connection you are seeking.
